Mark Versavel, MD, PhD, MBA is President and Founder of vZenium LLC, providing consulting services in clinical drug development in neurology and psychiatry, and Principal of akta Pharmaceutical Development. Mark is consulting CMO at Alzheon and responsible for clinical development of ALZ-801, a prodrug of tramiprosate, in Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Matt McCarty MD is a board certified, fellowship Anesthesiologist with additional subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine practicing in Austin Texas. After a 14 year successful career in anesthesiology in Tyler Texas he decided to pursue a pain fellowship at the University of South Florida. Since moving to Austin, he has practiced interventional pain medicine utilizing a multidisciplinary approach involving medication therapy with monitoring, spinal interventions as well as physical and behavioral health therapy. Intrigued by the variable patient response to pain medication and the likely interplay of genetic factors in producing adverse drug events and addiction he founded and developed Genotox Labs. Dr. Feng Tao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Tao received his RO1 award and Independent Scientist Award from NIH in 2012 and 2014, respectively. Gouda Ellabban is currently Professor of Surgery. His PhD is from the University of Birmingham UK in Hepatobiliary Surgery. He previously served as Head of the Emergency medicine Department at Suez Canal University Hospital. Ellabban brings experiences from various fields such as Hepatobiliary Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery and Emergency medicine. In his capacity in Hepatobiliary Surgery, he served as a head of Laparoscopic Unit. He served as a member in a major international project funded by the European Commission in Medical Informatics. Throughout his career, Ellabban has published many research studies in international journals and conferences. Part of his professional service is reviewing manuscripts and proposals for international journals with high impact factors, in addition to coordinating many conferences of Surgery and Laparoscopy. His main research interests are Hepatobiliary and Laparoscopic Surgery. His work at the SCU Hospital involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and training postgraduates on operative maneuvers

Dr. Racz graduated from The University of Liverpool Medical School, completed his residency at State University of New York and served on staff until 1978. He joined Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas as organizing chairman of anesthesiology. He is Grover Murray Professor, Professor and Chair Emeritus in Department of Anesthesiology and Co-Director of the Pain Services and continues his active pain practice at this date. Dr. Racz is Founder and Director of the World Institute of Pain Annual Advanced Pain Conference and Practical Workshop in Budapest since the first conference in 1996. He is a Founder and Past President of WIP, currently serving on the WIP Executive Board as well as Executive Board of American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is a Founder and first President of Texas Pain Society and serves on the Board of Directors. He is a Founder and Director of the annual TTUHSC Pain Symposium from 1983-2012. He is widely published in book chapters, journal articles and three books describing his techniques in spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, neurolysis, radiofrequency thermocoagulation and other interventional procedures. He travels around the world lecturing and instructing workshops.
