COVID - 19/ PASC related pain

The post-acute form of COVID-19 consists of persistent symptoms beyond four weeks after the acute phase of the disease has resolved. After contracting COVID-19, health issues persist for more than four weeks after being infected. These health issues are known as “post-covid conditions” by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). These include

  • Long Covid (which consists of a wide range of symptoms that can last weeks to months) or Persistent Post-Covid Syndrome (PPCS)
  • Multiorgan effects of COVID-19
  • Effects of COVID-19 treatment/hospitalization
