Biography
Nelson Hendler graduated cum laude in psychology from Princeton University, where he also played varsity lacrosse. He earned his MD, and MS from University of Maryland School of Medicine, and did his residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for 31 years, as well as president of the American Academy of Pain Management. He has published three books, 34 medical textbook chapters, and 58 articles. He has lectured in 12 countries, at over 50 medical schools and hospitals. He was president of the Princeton Alumni Association of Maryland and has served on numerous other non-profit and for profit boards, including two multi-billion dollar public companies, which were a bank and a life insurance company. He has five children and lives in Cambridge, Maryland, USA.

PhD is Spanish Anesthesiologist, Director, CEO, Editorial Board Member of Journal Pain Management and Therapy, AIUM Members, Reviewer and Advisor Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, American Institute (USA), Chairman Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Spanish University Health Ministry, Professor of advanced ultrasound and Founder at Advanced Pain Management Center Madrid. He has an integrative and interdisciplinary concept in the treatment of pain.

Biography
Shahrokh Javaheri, MD, is a sleep physician at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Cincinnati, Ohio, and Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He is internationally known for his research on various sleep disorders including sleep apnea and cardiovascular disease, with emphasis on heart failure, opioids-associated sleep apnea, and complex sleep apnea. He completed his clinical and research fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He joined the University of Cincinnati in 1983 and established a clinical and research sleep lab at VA medical Centre where he has done extensive research in the areas of sleep-related breathing disorders and cardiovascular diseases. These research studies have been published in many peer–reviewed journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Thorax, American Journal of Medicine, European Heart Journal, Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, Journal of Sleep, Chest and American Journal of Respiratory Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
