  • Spinal Cord Stimulation
  • Deep brain stimulation
  • Hypophysectomy
  • Peripheral Nerve Field Stimulation

Sessions 2: Anesthesia and Critical Care

Trauma recovery and health treatment are the main objectives of the program. This training program focuses on wound treatment and pre-hospital care for medical professionals and emergency responders. An absence of consciousness that is temporarily controlled and caused by medicine. The emergency anesthesiologists are like a cardiovascular surgeon, an expert in the fields of anesthesia and critical care. With the development of anesthesia, a better way of treating critically injured patients will be possible. We need to be careful when administering trauma anesthesia to seriously ill patients whose backgrounds, conditions and physiological status are uncertain.

Sessions 3: Pain Medicine Anesthesia

Anesthesia also involves treating patients who suffer from chronic pain. Pain treatment services include massage, analgesics, and physical therapy and epidural steroid injections, among other things. When necessary, pharmacists, occupational therapists, medical assistants and nurses are part of the pain relief team to deal with distressing symptoms such as pain and ease aches and pains during recovery, rehabilitation and even death.

Sessions 4: Pain management and Palliative Care

In palliative care, symptoms associated with chronic illness are treated through the management of physical and emotional suffering. It is often compared to hospice care, which is provided to the terminally ill. In palliative care, patients are offered the utmost in quality of life, regardless of whether or not they are terminally ill. Palliative care can be provided when a person is assimilating treatment for a disease and when there is no concrete way of treating it. Although most patients with cancer experience pain, opioids and adjuvants can usually provide adequate relief.

Sessions 5: NSAIDS and Analgesics

A NSAID or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug is one of the most common pain relievers in the world. NSAIDs treat pain and fever, as well as inflammation. In the body, NSAIDs limit the production of prostaglandins by blocking specific enzymes, COX-1 and COX-2. By inhibiting COX enzymes, NSAIDs prevent the body from making so many prostaglandins.

Sessions 6: COVID - 19/ PASC related pain

The post-acute form of COVID-19 consists of persistent symptoms beyond four weeks after the acute phase of the disease has resolved. After contracting COVID-19, health issues persist for more than four weeks after being infected. These health issues are known as “post-covid conditions” by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). These include

  • Long Covid (which consists of a wide range of symptoms that can last weeks to months) or Persistent Post-Covid Syndrome (PPCS)
  • Multiorgan effects of COVID-19
  • Effects of COVID-19 treatment/hospitalization

Sessions 7: Pain Management Nursing

A nurse’s primary objective is to ensure that patients are healthy, comfortable and safe. Self – awareness, knowledge of pain and pain assessment and standard of care that is appropriate for pain management enable the nurse to advocate for and reassure the patient. A nurse should use and refer to current guidelines and standards for pain management when advocating for patients. Essentially, it is the nurse’s responsibility and accountability to ensure that the patient receives an evidence-based nursing assessment and intervention that is effective at treating pain and meets the recognized standard of care.

Sessions 8: Pediatric Pain Management

Assisting children with pain is usually done with medication and non-pharmacological treatments to provide comfort, but acute pain often has an obvious cause and lasts for a few days or weeks. Children experiencing acute pain may need to be evaluated, treated and prevented. While in pain, physical consequences can jeopardize recovery and healing. Pain that is unrelated to the injury can result in alkalosis and hypoxemia, which leads to rapid, shallow breathing and an increase in vital signs and pulse, causing pressure on the stomach.

Sessions 9: Rehabilitation Medicine

In rehabilitation medicine, patients are engaged socially in accordance with their values and wishes, their autonomy is enhanced, and pain and distress are reduced. In most cases, a consultant will work on neurological conditions, including spinal cord injury, trauma, including amputations, and musculoskeletal conditions. Besides rehabilitation after trauma, there are other areas of interest emerging. For example, the rehabilitation of people who have dealt with Covid-19 is gaining momentum.

Sessions 10: Cancer Pain Management

A cancer tumor can cause pain when it presses on nerves or body parts or when cancer cells intrude a bone or body part. Once cancer treatment has ended, the pain tends to persist and ranges from mild to severe. The pain is commonly caused by pressure on nerves caused by the cancer or chemicals produced by the tumor. In chronic pain, there is no relief. Alternative pain management strategies or pain relievers are usually prescribed to accompany chronic pain.

Sessions 11: Regenerative Medicine

We have an innate ability to heal and defend our bodies. What if the ability to heal may be harnessed and accelerated, so that it may also create solutions for organs that are permanently damaged? Scientific research is finding ways to cure previously untreatable injuries and diseases. Treatments are developed for clinical use using both in vivo and in vitro approaches. Research performed in vivo involves taking advantage of antecedently irreparable organs in order to stimulate their own healing and research conducted in vitro refers to implanting a medical aid studied in the lab into the body.

Sessions 12: Various aspects of Opioids

As a pain reliever and a euphoric drug, opioids are believed to produce effects similar to morphine, which is used medically and recreationally by opioid addicts. Opioids were originally opium-derived drugs like morphine, and now the term can be used for semi-synthetic drugs such as hydrocodone, oxycodone and fentanyl as well as antidepressants like naloxone and endogenous endorphins. Opioids are sometimes referred to as narcotics or opium.

Market Analysis

Pain is a disturbing sensory and emotional sensation that results from tissue damage or disease. In addition, different disorders may cause discomfort, such as multiple sclerosis, osteoarthritis, stomach ulcer, chronic arthritis, fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy, and cancer. The length of pain ranges from acute pain for brief term to chronic pain for future. Acute pain can be mild and lasts for only a moment or for weeks, or months. Chronic pain is caused by aged bone & joint conditions, nerve damage, or injury. A variety of drugs is used to manage pain resulting from inflammation in response to tissue damage, chemical agents/pathogens (nociceptive pain) or nerve damage (neuropathic pain). Most drugs act by binding to protein targets on cell membranes and affecting biochemical processes of the body.

Overall world revenue for that market area will reach $68.0bn in 2013, our report forecasts. Ageing populations and diseases such as cancer, arthritis and diabetes will increase sales of painkillers. Also, improved drug delivery and new formulations will be important.
