Cancer Pain Management

A cancer tumor can cause pain when it presses on nerves or body parts or when cancer cells intrude a bone or body part. Once cancer treatment has ended, the pain tends to persist and ranges from mild to severe. The pain is commonly caused by pressure on nerves caused by the cancer or chemicals produced by the tumor. In chronic pain, there is no relief. Alternative pain management strategies or pain relievers are usually prescribed to accompany chronic pain.
